SALES ‘DISTINCTION IN MANAGEMENT’AWARD
The thing about sales is the very mixed recognition and acknowledgement factors accorded to sales practitioners and sales management across the broader community.
In the 1950’s, sales featured in many USA universities, and some in Europe, but it was ‘dislodged’ by the emergence of marketing and the academic assumption it would subsume sales activity. Thus the complete lack of present-day academic offerings in sales has left the alleged first (or second) profession in the world locked in a state of academic limbo.
Fortunately, over many years, sales has carved out an enviable commercial record in the framework of ALL business sectors and has secured a solid reputation across the broadest of corporate sectors. Despite limited recognition outside the selling sphere, it remains a vital part of all growing and expanding businesses.
NOW AND NEXT
The evolution of the Institute – over almost twenty years – has led to a specific program to provide relevant recognition and acknowledgement to sales management. Two universities have already expressed interest in linking our ‘Distinction’ to a future program aimed squarely at ‘future’ management – and discussions are continuing.
The Institute has established a sub-committee (six very senior sales management) specifically for ‘distinction and recognition’ and they will assess/record each application for the awarding of ‘Distinction in Management’ certification. While that will cover future new applications, the Institute already has many hundreds existing longstanding management members who are deserving of the recognition – and we will invite managers to immediately apply for the ‘Distinction in Management’ acknowledgement.
Now Warren Buffett isn’t a member (we wish…) but this is an example of the certificate we wish to award each management who already has at least five years in management. The certificate will carry a validation until 30/9/2018.
Only about 9% of our membership qualifies for this special ‘distinction’ – so do consider applying now.
The Institute, on receipt of your email expressing interest, will provide a brief application form to complete – to be assessed/recorded and will then proceed to provide the certificate at a cost of $77-00 (inc GST).
That’s $15-40 a year to record your distinction!!
Incidentally, a ‘refreshed’ certificate – with our new Institute logo – will be forwarded on a future occasion.
WELCOME TO YOUR ‘DISTINCTION’ RECOGNITION IN MANAGENT…
